　　考试形式

　　1.雅思：笔试+口语考官面对面测试

　　雅思的听力、阅读、写作在同一天考，笔试的考试时间为2小时45分钟(IELTS listening, reading and writing are tested on the same day, and the written test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes)，口语考试是另外选择时间参加考试。

　　需要注意的是，2022年，雅思口语考试改为线上进行。

　　此次调整只是线上线下形式的转变，但真人考官面对面的模式不变(This adjustment is only a change in the form of online and offline, but the face-to-face mode of real-life examiners remains unchanged)，考试内容、评分标准、考试时长、难度等级、考试题型和安全设置等方面均与此前一致。

　　目前多个城市开放了机考考位，口语考试在笔试的前后一两周内进行(The oral test shall be conducted within one or two weeks before and after the written test)，口语可以选择时间预约，无预约则系统随机安排。

　　2.托福：全程机考，口语当天进行

　　新托福采用网考，全程考试像场4小时的马拉松，听说读写一次全部考完(The new TOEFL adopts the online test. The whole test is like a 4-hour marathon. You can finish all the tests in one time)，不间断。如果考场设备出现问题，可能会延长至6小时……对考生来说，着实很煎熬!

　　1.阅读：难度相当

　　雅思更注意考细节，而细节题相对不好答，尤其是每年的T/F/NG题(IELTS pays more attention to the details of the test, and the detailed questions are relatively difficult to answer, especially the T / F / ng questions every year)，基本上连老司机都要摔一摔;而遇到选择题，更是要每个选项都找对应，时间成本比较高。

　　托福阅读文章的选择会偏向于学术性文章，包括历史、人类学等等(The choice of TOEFL reading articles will be biased towards academic articles, including history, anthropology and so on)，阅读篇目的来源都是真实的学术材料，难度和美国大学教材相当。

　　另外，托福阅读没有填空题，全部为选择题。考试时，电脑上会有专门的段落标记(There are no blank questions in TOEFL Reading. They are all multiple-choice questions. During the exam, there will be special paragraph marks on the computer)，每道题只考一段或几段，会直接告诉你哪一段，细节题出题较少，出题比例也较高，并且对考生是否能够很好的进行长难句分析的能力有很高的要求。

　　2.听力：托福难

　　雅思听力则更偏向生活化，比如问路，打电话，记电话号码人名和地址，新生入学和选课、租房等。

　　但雅思听力的题目会有点“绕”，比如选择题，可能三个选项的个别词都在录音里提到(Maybe the individual words of the three options are mentioned in the recording)，如果你没有听完整或者没有理解整句话，那可能就会选错。

　　托福听力内容偏向学术，词汇十分偏门，各种专业术语词汇层出不穷。难度比雅思听力大一个量级。

　　而且托福的听力是录音放完题目才会出现，这就需要你在听的时候快速理解并速记(And the TOEFL listening problem will appear only after the recording is played, which requires you to quickly understand and take shorthand while listening)，而且每做完一题之后，点击下一题，就没有办法回头做题了，要求快狠准!

　　3.写作：雅思难

　　雅思写作也是两个部分，分为大作文和小作文。话题就偏学术了很多，一部分考题的英文表述已经接近了GRE写作的难度(The topic is a lot academic. The English expression of some test questions is close to the difficulty of GRE writing)，对逻辑、内容的要求也较高，并非用模板就可以拿到高分。

　　另外，文风也要求严谨专业，最好不要出现任何的缩写形式和口语化表达。

　　托福写作也分为两个部分，但是分开计时。一个部分要结合阅读和听力，最后写一篇驳论文，看似复杂实则模式比较单一(One part should combine reading and listening, and finally write a refutation paper. It seems complex, but the mode is relatively single)，只要听懂了观点，用一下模板，很容易拿分，这部分给20分钟;另一个部分是议论文，计时30分钟。

　　新托福写作的话题会偏重生活化，考题的表达更清晰易懂，不容易跑题偏题。

　　考生的写作风格可以接近生活，允许使用缩写(Candidates‘ writing style can be close to life, and abbreviations are allowed)，甚至官方发布的满分作文中也出现了少量的口语化词汇。

　　4.口语：托福难

　　雅思口语分为3个part，part1考基本表达，part2考独白，part3考辩证思维(Part 1 tests basic expression, Part 2 tests monologue, and Part 3 tests dialectical thinking)，托福口语则有6个task。task1类似于雅思中的part1，task2类似于雅思中的part3，但是从task3开始，就完全不按常理了!

　　从task3开始，难度就升级了，不只考验你的口语，还考察你的阅读、听力以及理解概括能力(Examine your reading, listening, comprehension and generalization skills)，哪一方面差了都不行。

　　要么是听一段对话后转述;要么是先看一个文章，再听一个讲座(Or listen to a conversation and then retell it; Either read an article first and then listen to a lecture)，然后说说这个讲座为啥佐证了这个文章;还有两个学生在讨论一个问题，要把问题的解决方案记下来然后说说你赞成哪一个……

　　所以在口语考试上，无论是从task的数量还是综合考察的维度来看，托福比雅思更难。
