A-Level

(Such a popular subject always seems to be boring, even a little boring),你是否也曾幻想过,生物的学习也能变成茫茫书海中最有趣的那一个?

1.The Red Queen: Sex and the Evolution of Human Nature

  - Matt Ridley

(It‘s actually very interesting and suitable for anyone interested in biology)。

(The content of this book is about the views and views of evolution and its impact on mankind),每一章可读性都很高,而且语言非常幽默,绝对的生物课外阅读首选。

2.The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks

  - Rebecca Skloot

(Born in a poor African American family growing tobacco in the United States, cancer cells were removed without knowing it),而现在成海拉细胞为了医学研究中非常重要的工具(Hella cell is a very important tool in medical research)。

(At the same time, it also discusses the civil rights movement in the 1950s),适合A level学习生物和历史的同学。

3.Life Ascending: The Ten Greatest Inventions of Evolution

  - Nick Lane

(It can almost be said to reconstruct a scientific life history in front of readers),非常适合A level学生阅读的一本书,每一章都条理非常清晰,而且生动幽默,书中至少六章的内容都跟A level生物直接相关(Each chapter is very clear and lively and humorous. At least six chapters in the book are directly related to A-level biology)。

  4.The Epigenetics Revolution

  - Nessa Carey

(This book deals with epigenetics, in which the author lists a large number of interesting examples),就算你对生物根本不感兴趣,她的作品也一定会吸引你。 (It suggests that if a mother is malnourished early in pregnancy, the risk of obesity will increase not only for her children, but also for her grandchildren),想知道为什么?

  5.Darwin’sIsland

  - Steve Jones

(The book is so famous that it drowns out his other works)。

(He wrote more than six million words, laying the foundation for contemporary biology)。

(It is not only a physical journey, but also a spiritual journey)。
